Arrival / 25.07.07

I arrived in Melbourne at 7.30 pm and was actually totally lost. Pick-up service did not work out because for some reasons my emails did not seemed to be delivered, my stomach was in a terrible shape and I was wearing a t-shirt when I saw a big screen at the airport with the headline “Coldest day in Melbourne in 20 years! Even snow was reported in some districts.”
My start could not have been better. But once you are unlucky you will get lucky very soon (that is not a phrase that is my motto of life) and so I met a guy coming from Mumbai who coincidently headed to Melbourne UNI also and who had a lot of space in his pick-up service car. Fortunately the driver was very familiarly with the hotels and so he dropped me at the hotel all the incoming Melbourne UNI students stayed, the unbelievable “Miami Hotel” which turned out to be my home for the next stress five days.
